As we head into the weekend, lottery players are excited about the huge jackpots sitting there, ready for someone to win. The Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have climbed to over $1.39 billion combined!

Mega Millions drawing

With no jackpot winner in the Mega Millions since December 2023, the estimated Mega Millions jackpot has grown for the Friday, March 15 drawing. The estimated jackpot for the March 15 drawing is $792 million or $381.8 million with the cash option selected.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in December 2023, when two tickets purchased in California split the $394 million jackpot. There have been 27 consecutive drawings since that December 12, 2023, without a jackpot winner.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states in the U.S., as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The March 15 drawing will take place at 11:00 p.m. ET.

The $792 million jackpot is the sixth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history. The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record occurred in August 2023 when one winner in Florida took home the $1.6 billion jackpot.

Powerball drawing

With no jackpot winner in the Powerball since January 3, the estimated Powerball jackpot has grown for the Saturday, March 16 drawing. The estimated jackpot for the March 16 drawing is $600 million or $293.4 million with the cash option selected.

The Powerball jackpot was last won in January 2024 when one ticket purchased in Michigan won the $842.2 million jackpot. There have been 31 consecutive drawings since that January 3 drawing without a jackpot winner.

Powerball is currently played in 48 jurisdictions, which includes 45 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. The March 16 drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. ET.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record occurred in November 2022 when one winner in California won a $2.04 billion jackpot.
