Luck was flowing through the Bay Area this weekend. One San Jose player just struck it big, turning an ordinary stop into a multimillion-dollar moment. The surprise win marks another major jackpot for California's SuperLotto Plus this year, but just how lucky has the Golden State been in 2025?
Jackpot win in San Jose
One lucky ticketholder in San Jose matched all the winning numbers drawn for the SuperLotto Plus drawing on Saturday, November 8, 2025. By doing so, they won the $14 million jackpot.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 12, 26, 30, 38, and 42, and the Mega Ball was 4. The winning ticket was purchased at Maple Leaf Liquors, located at 1146 Saratoga Ave. in San Jose, according to the California Lottery.
For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the lucky retailer will receive a $70,000 bonus from the state lottery.
With this jackpot win, the jackpot resets to $7 million for the next drawing on Wednesday, November 12.

Will there be another SuperLotto Plus jackpot winner in 2025?
Other jackpot wins in California
While there was a SuperLotto Plus jackpot win over the weekend, they weren't the only ones cashing in this weekend.
For the Fantasy 5 in-state draw game, there was a jackpot winner on Saturday night, also. The winning numbers for the November 8 drawing were 1, 19, 20, 22, and 29.
For matching all of the winning numbers that night, the lucky ticketholder won the Fantasy 5 jackpot, which was $180,317.
No luck for multi-state game players
There may have been some jackpot winners for in-state draw games in California over the weekend, but the big multi-state game jackpots continued to roll over.
For Mega Millions, no tickets matched all of the winning numbers — 16, 21, 23, 48, and 70 with Mega Ball of 5 — drawn for the Friday, November 7, drawing. With no jackpot winners, the Mega Millions jackpot climbed to $900 million for the next drawing, taking place on Tuesday, November 11.
For Powerball, no tickets matched all of the winning numbers — 3, 53, 60, 62, and 68 with Powerball of 11 — drawn for the Saturday, November 8, drawing. With no jackpot winners, the Powerball jackpot climbed to $490 million for the next drawing, taking place on Monday, November 10.
With Mega Millions approaching the $1 billion mark, and both jackpots combining for a total of almost $1.4 billion, it could be a very exciting weekend for lottery players across the nation.
