For months, Hoosier Lotto players watched the jackpot climb higher and higher, dreaming of what they'd do with a life-changing fortune. Now, the wait is over!

After an epic run that pushed the prize to a staggering $42.5 million — one of the biggest in the game's history — someone in Indiana has finally struck gold. And if you've got a ticket from an On the Fly gas station, it might be time to check those numbers!

The drought is over

It has been quite a jackpot run for the Hoosier Lotto draw game from the Hoosier Lottery. The last jackpot win took place on December 6, 2023. Since then, the jackpot has been growing and growing.

It reached $42.5 million for last night's drawing, and we finally have a winner — a winner of the fourth-largest jackpot in Hoosier Lotto history. The largest jackpot ever won was $54.5 million.

The winning numbers for the March 12 drawing were 10, 16, 24, 33, 39, and 46. One lucky ticket, which was purchased at On the Fly gas station, located on the Ohio River in Tell City, matched all six of the winning numbers to win the jackpot.

In a statement to FOX 59, Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah M. Taylor said:

Congratulations to our newest Hoosier Lotto jackpot millionaire. Since its first drawing in 1990, Hoosier Lotto has remained Indiana's hometown favorite jackpot game.

The winner has not come forward to claim their prize, so players are encouraged to check their tickets to see if they're holding the jackpot-winning ticket.

This is the fifth time the jackpot has topped $40 million

Hoosier Lotto made its debut in 1990. The in-state exclusive draw game starts out at $1 million and grows with each drawing held without a winner.

This current jackpot run lasted over 15 months and made its way to $42.5 million, which is only the fifth time since 1990 that the jackpot has passed $40 million. That meant this current jackpot run lasted 125 draws without a winner.
