The clock's ticking on $1M lottery tickets in Idaho and Virginia

June 30 is the final chance to claim a life-changing win from two forgotten raffle tickets. Could one be yours?

Check your coat pockets, glove boxes, and junk drawers because time is ticking for two mystery millionaires who might not even know they're rich. In both Virginia and Idaho, winning raffle tickets worth a cool $1 million each are still unclaimed, and the deadline to cash in is fast approaching.

Could you — or someone you know — be sitting on a fortune without even realizing it?

The time to claim your prizes in the popular annual raffle drawing from the Virginia Lottery is coming to a close, and one of the five $1 million winners has yet to step forward to claim their winnings.

The winners of Virginia's New Year’s Millionaire Raffle were drawn on January 1, 2025. For Virginia's raffle, there are five $1 million winners drawn, with four of them already claiming their prize.

However, one of the big winners, who happened to purchase their winning raffle ticket at the Food Lion on Windward Drive in Fisherville, hasn't stepped forward to claim their prize yet. The unclaimed ticket is #229618.

In Virginia, winning tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. That means this $1 million winner has until 5 p.m. EST on Monday, June 30, to claim their winnings, or the ticket will expire.

If the ticket goes unclaimed, the prize will go to Virginia's Literary Fund, which provides low-interest loans for public school construction, renovations, and technology upgrades.

If you are holding onto this winning ticket, you can claim it at a Virginia Lottery customer service center.

Another popular annual raffle drawing has a $1 million winner yet to claim their prize also. The Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle ticket was sold at a lottery retailer in Star and the winning ticket number is #063647.

The winning numbers for the raffle were drawn on December 30, 2024, and tickets need to be claimed within 180 days from the date of the draw. That means the lucky winner has until 5:00 p.m. MT on Monday, June 30, to claim their prize or the ticket will expire.

In addition to the $1 million ticket, lottery officials said there are also three $1,000 tickets that have gone unclaimed. Those tickets, which were from the daily drawings held at the beginning of the game, are:

  • Ticket #061340, which was sold in Rathdrum.
  • Ticket #083502, which was sold in Nampa.
  • Ticket #140188, which was sold in Middleton.

Unclaimed Idaho Lottery prize details

If you happen to be holding onto any of these winning tickets in Idaho, you can claim your prize through the Idaho Lottery office in Boise.

If the money does go unclaimed, then the prizes will be given back to the beneficiaries of the Idaho Lottery. Those beneficiaries are the Idaho public schools and the Department of Administration's Permanent Building Fund, which is for places like Idaho's college and university campuses.

Enjoy playing the lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
