A lucky Show Me Cash player in Missouri didn't even know she was holding on to a jackpot-winning ticket. That is until she saw the clerk's reaction when they scanned it!

'It shocked her'

The lucky winner from Oronogo, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket for the July 13 drawing of Show Me Cash from Brad's Convenience Store, located at 1201 E. Highway 96 in Oronogo.

The day after the drawing, she made her way back to the lottery retailer to check to see if she won.

The winner told lottery officials:

I didn't realize (I had won) until the retail clerk looked at the screen and took two steps back. Then she looked at me and looked back at the screen again, and then she motioned for her boss to come up. The boss walks up and says, 'Oh, my god.' It shocked her.

It was at that moment that she “realized I'd won $128,000,” the lucky winner joked.

The winning numbers

The lucky winner hit the Show Me Cash jackpot for the July 13 drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 20, 29, 31, 37, and 39. She matched all five of the numbers drawn to win the $128,000 jackpot.

On July 17, the lucky winner made her way to the Missouri Lottery's Springfield regional office to claim her prize.

Show Me Cash is a daily Missouri Lottery draw game. The drawings take place at 8:59 p.m. CT. The jackpots start at $50,000 and grow until someone wins. The jackpot for tonight's drawing is at $50,000.

Another big Missouri Lottery winner

While this Show Me Cash jackpot winner is celebrating their $128,000 win, there is another Missouri Lottery player out there celebrating an even bigger win.

The lucky player, who also chose to remain anonymous, became a millionaire after the numbers he selected for the July 5 Mega Millions drawing matched all five of the white ball numbers to win a $1 million prize.

The winning white ball numbers for that July 5 drawing were 6, 15, 32, 54, and 67, with the Mega Ball number being 4. The lucky winner matched all five of those white ball numbers, just missing out on the Mega Ball number, to win $1 million.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Signal Food Store, located at 711 N. Business Highway 60 in Mansfield. The winner recently made their way to the Missouri Lottery's regional office in Springfield to claim their prize.

Mega Millions is drawn twice a week, with drawings taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. CT. The estimated jackpot for the Friday, July 26, drawing is $306 million, with a cash value of $143.8 million.

Wright County has been a good area for winners in the Missouri Lottery. In FY23, players in the county won more than $2.6 million in prizes. Because of those big wins, lottery retailers also won, receiving over $250,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $340,000 was given to educational programs in the county.

Enjoy playing the Missouri Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
