California Lottery shares seasonal cheer with holiday scratchers

 ’Tis the season for California holiday scratch-off tickets.

Get your holiday cheer on with these new California holiday instant win tickets. You can have fun and win big prizes this festive season. Here’s what’s on offer:

Holiday Cash

With this $5 scratch-off ticket, you can win up to $250,000. To play, scratch off the five snowflakes at the top of the ticket to reveal the winning numbers. Then scratch off the remaining 18 snowflakes to reveal your numbers. If you reveal a snowman symbol, you automatically win the prize shown. If you reveal a 2X symbol, you win double the prize shown. If you reveal a 3X symbol, you win triple the prize shown. The prize range is a free ticket, $6, $10, $15, $20, $30, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, $10,000, and $250,000.

Gift Tag Greetings

With this $1 scratch-off, you have 9 chances to win a top prize of $5,000. To play, scratch off the entire play area to uncover the nine features symbols. If you reveal a gift box symbol, you win the prize shown. If you reveal a star symbol, you win double the prize shown. The prize range is $2, $4, $5, $10, $20, $40, $100, $5,000.

Merry Multiplier

With this $10 scratch-off game, you can win up to $1,000,000. To play all you have to do is scratch off the six gold snowflakes to reveal the winning numbers. Then scratch off the gold stars to reveal your numbers. If any of your numbers match the winning numbers you win the prize shown for that number. If you reveal a cash symbol, you win that prize instantly. If you reveal a $100 Burst symbol, you win $100 instantly. If you reveal a $200 Burst symbol, you win $200 instantly. Revel the “Merry Spot,” and you can multiply your winnings by that number. The prize range is $10, $20, $30, $50, $100, $200, $500, $2,500, $25,000, and $1,000,000.

2024

You could be bringing in the New Year with a bang with this $20 instant-win ticket with a top prize of $5,000,000. To play you simply scratch off the 8 boxes to reveal the winning numbers. Then scratch off the two side panels of star and dollar symbols to reveal your numbers. If any of your numbers match the winning numbers you win that prize. Reveal 2X, 5X, 10X, 20X, or 50X to multiply your win. If you reveal a fireworks symbol, you automatically win all 26 prizes. Scratch off the four Bonus Spots, and if you reveal a 2024 symbol, you win the prize shown. The prize range is $25, $30, $40, $50, $75, $100, $250, $500, $2,500, $100,000, and $5,000,000.

Don’t forget, to hold on to your scratch-off ticket even if you don’t win the first time around. You get an extra chance to win with the weekly Scratchers 2nd Chance drawing, where 32 winners get $100,000 in prizes, including a top prize of $25,000.

There are two easy ways to enter your scratch-off ticket into 2nd Chance. You can enter your ticket’s 13-digit entry code and the first 7 digits of your ticket's ID on the California Lottery website. Or you can submit your ticket via the California Lottery mobile app by scanning the barcode.
