If you play Cash 5 with Quick Cash from the Pennsylvania Lottery and buy your tickets in Westmoreland County, you better pay attention!

The lucky winning ticket

The jackpot-winning ticket sold for the Wednesday, May 8 drawing of Cash 5 with Quick Cash. The numbers for that drawing were 14, 22, 33, 35, and 38, and the lucky winner matched all five numbers. The jackpot was at $2.6 million less withholding.

The winning ticket was purchased at Murrysville SHOP 'n SAVE, located at 4536 William Penn Highway in Murrysville. For selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced that more than 44,300 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets won prizes in the drawing. Players are reminded to check their tickets every time and claim their lower-tier prizes at a Lottery retailer.

The big winner

Since the jackpot was won last night, the winner has not yet stepped forward to claim their prize. Winners are only identified after prizes are claimed and tickets validated.

Players who have won a Cash 5 game prize must claim their winnings within one year of the drawing date. Any prizes won in the Quick Cash game must be claimed within one year of the purchase date.

If you happen to be holding onto that jackpot-winning ticket from last night's drawing, you should contact the nearest Pennsylvania Lottery office for further instructions or call 1-800-692-7481.

How to play Cash 5 with Quick Cash

Cash 5 with Quick Cash is a daily draw game held every night at 6:59 p.m. ET. To play, you need to select five numbers between 1 and 43, or you can choose the Quick Pick option and let the computer generate numbers for you. Each play costs $2.

For the Quick Cash option, this is an instant game that offers a chance to win $2 or $6. For each Cash 5 ticket, players will get a Quick Cash play printed on a separate ticket.

There are four prize categories for Cash 5, with the lowest prize being $2 for matching two numbers. By matching all five numbers, you win the jackpot, which is 44% of the prize pool money. The minimum value for the jackpot is $150,000.

The odds of winning the Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598, and the overall odds of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about 1 in 10.5
