Big bucks are definitely linked to Bucks County, at least for one jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket!

The jackpot-winning ticket for the April 2 drawing matched all five balls drawn, was sold in Bucks County, and will take home the $1.63 million jackpot from the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The winning numbers

The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased for the Tuesday, April 2 drawing. The five balls drawn that night were 8, 11, 12, 42, and 43. For matching all five numbers, the winner got the jackpot, which was at $1.63 million that night.

The winning ticket was sold at Weis Markets, located at 431 Dublin Pike in Perkasie. For selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

Besides the jackpot win, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced there were more than 39,100 other tickets that won prizes in the drawing. All Cash 5 with Quick Cash players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any lower-tier prizes at a Lottery retailer.

Claiming that jackpot

The winner of this Cash 5 with Quick Cash jackpot has not yet been identified. They can only be identified after prizes are claimed and tickets are validated.

Winners of any Cash 5 or Quick Cash game prize must claim their prize within one year of the purchase date. If you are holding onto a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket, you should contact the nearest Lottery office for further instructions or call 1-800-692-7481.

How to play Cash 5 with Quick Cash

This is a daily draw game where drawings are held every night at 6:59 p.m. ET. Players select five numbers between 1 and 43 or choose the Quick Pick option and have the computer choose for them.

Each ticket costs $2, which includes the main Cash 5 drawing and one Quick Cash game. There are four prize categories, ranging from $2 for matching two numbers up to the jackpot for matching all five numbers.

Quick Cash is an instant game where players need to match any of their numbers to any winning number in the same Quick Cash game. Players have a chance to win $2 or $6 in Quick Cash.

Where does the money go in the Pennsylvania Lottery?

While many states give proceeds from the lottery to educational programs, the Pennsylvania Lottery is the only state lottery that directs all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. These programs help with transportation, funding property tax and rent rebates, prescription assistance, care services, and local services, including senior centers and meals.

Since ticket sales for the Pennsylvania Lottery began in 1972, more than $35.1 billion has been contributed to fund the programs mentioned above. The Pennsylvania Lottery operates as a bureau within the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

Enjoy playing the Pennsylvania Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
