About the Idaho Lottery

Ever since July 19, 1989 when the first ticket was sold, the Idaho Lottery has been extremely popular with players in the Spud State. This popularity was shown by an incredible 840,000 tickets being sold on the first day they were available. While there may not have been a lot of effort put into the naming of the Idaho Lottery's mascot, there is when it comes to helping out the state. This is because the proceeds from the lottery ticket sales go to the schools of the state. Since 1986, the Idaho Lottery has handed over almost $500 million to school systems and this number is increasing all the time.
